Paul’s songwriting ability began to take shape after his parents brought home a piano while he was in high school. Having no formal training, Paul decided to teach himself to play it, spending hours at the piano making up his own songs. Now some twenty years later, Paul has penned countless chart-topping hits, including eight, top 5 national radio songs and seven, top 10 tunes.
His songs have been recorded by numerous artists such as Steve Green, Michael English, Mylon Lefevre... as well as being placed on multiple choral, youth and kids projects. Paul recently had three of his songs featured on the Beth Moore “Patriarchs” compilation, as well as a song featured on the 3:16 musical project that accompanies Max Lucado’s new book. Additionally, Paul has been a signed songwriter for the Lifeway group since 2004.

Paul's writing skills are well documented, with over a dozen of his songs reaching the top 10 on the Christian music charts. I have been performing and recording with Paul for the past 20 years. As a member of River, I have witnessed the effect his songs have had on people .
